Best Rental Insurance

Rental Insurance – Best Rates, Best Companies
If you’re a renter who doesn’t have renters insurance, you’re taking a big risk. If a fire, theft, or other tragedy ever occurs, you may not be able to replace your personal possessions. Fortunately, you can easily get cheap rental insurance with a reliable company on the Internet.
Find the Best Rate
To get the best rate on rental insurance, you need to go to an insurance comparison website. On this website, you’ll fill out a form with information about yourself, the property you’re renting, and the insurance you want. For example, you’ll need to type in:
* Your name, age, and address
* Whether you have any pets
* The number of connected units in your building
* The construction type of the building
* The type of heat
* The coverage amounts and deductible you want
If you aren’t sure how much coverage you need, add up how much it would cost to replace all your belongings if they were damaged or stolen. This is a good time to take an inventory of your possessions, including model numbers, in case you ever need to make a claim.
On the best insurance comparison websites, you can talk online or by phone with insurance professionals, so if you have any questions as you complete your form you can get fast, accurate answers. (See link below.)
Choose the Best Company
After you fill out the form you’ll receive multiple quotes from A-rated insurance companies. Then it’s time to choose the best rate with the best company.
Because the quotes are from A-rated companies, you know all the companies are financially stable and will give you good service. To further check the service record of the companies, you can:
* Check their website to see if it is informative and helpful.
* Check your state’s department of insurance website to see how many complaints customers have filed against the company.
By taking these extra steps, you’ll know you’re getting the best rental insurance company with the best rate available for you.

For a 10 day trip along the California coastline (San Fr to San Diego). What are the best car rental options?
I am planning a 10 day driving trip along the California coastline (San Francisco to San Diego). Initial research is showing that car rental will be at least $400 for the 10 days (not including insurance!)–way out of our price range. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best company/location to pick up/drop off or any other ideas for ways to do it for less money? We are looking to take our trip in the beginning of March.
Any other recommendations for our trip? Places to stop along the way? Thanks for your help!
I personally prefer Hertz because I have rented with them the most and AAA gives discount if you rent with them. Try to search for discounts online for car rentals. You won’t need an SUV/4WD for driving on Hwy 1, a sedan would do. See travelzoo link below.
Here are a few places you might be interested in:
1. All the lighthouses along the CA coast off of Hwy 1 – you can do the ones that are on your travel path. Check the URL below for more info.
2. San Francisco, LA, San Diego – there’s lots to do so prioritize according to how much time you have for each city.
3. Big Sur – Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park
4. Solvang
5. Hearst Castle, San Simeon
6. Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz
If you are AAA member, I’d recommend you stop by at their office and get their tour book. It has lot of good info.
Have a nice trip!
